Senior FP&A Analyst
Our client, a dynamic company in the insurance sector, is seeking an Senior FP&A Analyst to join the Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and analytical professional to contribute to the financial success of a thriving company. Reporting directly to the Manager of FP&A, this candidate will play a key role in financial forecasting, budgeting, and strategic decision-making across our organization.
Hybrid work model based on Long Island, with the flexibility to work 2-3 days per week in the office.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Contribute to the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
· Develop and maintain intricate financial models for various business units and projects.
· Analyze financial data to pinpoint trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather pertinent information for financial analysis.
· Support the monthly financial reporting process, encompassing variance analysis and management reporting.
· Distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual budget reports to department managers.
· Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and reports to facilitate decision-making.
· Continuously enhance financial processes and systems for improved efficiency and accuracy.
· Oversee and assist in various Banking and Treasury Functions, including ACH approvals.
· Conduct Cash Flow Analysis.
· Execute cost-benefit analyses for process changes and other ventures as requested by upper management.
· Undertake other typical accounting tasks as needed.
· Participate in additional projects as required.
· Uphold absolute discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
· Stay updated on industry knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
· 2-4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, investment banking, or a similar role.
· Knowledge of accounting principles and financial statement analysis.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as keen attention to detail
· Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including intermediate to expert Excel and PowerPoint skills.
· Proficiency in FIS/EAS, Prophix, and Crystal reporting is a plus.
· Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
· CPA license is a plus.
